More pain and empty pitches

Another difficult week with a little less fatigue but a lot more pain. The problem with the pain is that it moves around my body and needs morphine to control it. Taking morphine means that I then seem to spend hours and hours sleeping just nodding off at any time.

One thing that happened during the week that was a plus is the flu jab that I was given. Because of my chemotherapy treatment I can only be given extra jabs between chemo cycles.

I am currently on my first week off chemo and that's why they were able to give me the flu jab.... During this upcoming week they are hoping to give me my third Covid jab..... Following that I will be starting another cycle of chemotherapy.

The images above show parts of our site... Top one is the route to the facilities... A bit like walking down a narrow maze with evergreen hedge on the left. The wind won't find you down there.... The other images show a couple of the empty pitches of which we have quite a few at this time of year....

The constant pain must be very draining Trevor and then the remedy is very restrictive, I can only imagine your frustration.
I have often thought about you living on site and the practicalities involved , are you on a fully serviced pitch?
We have been booster and flu jabbed but despite the roll out of these vaccinations I’m coming across more people who have had Covid than ever before.
I’ve had MRI and CT scans and am waiting to be contacted about the op to remove the tumour.
All the best with your treatments Trevor

@Dave
Yes Dave we are fully serviced and we have Alde wet central heating which is similar to what you have in a house with radiators throughout the van. Although it might seem odd to a lot of people living in the van is something that gives me a lot of pleasure.In no way does living in the van make life any more difficult. It will be seven years in March 2022 since we sold up and started full timing so we are pretty well experts by now ha.ha.. It's good to hear that you have now had your scans. Let's hope you don't have to wait too long before they get back to you with the plan for the op. I think of you often and continue to wish you well Dave.

@John Donoghue
Currently there seems to be far fewer people going abroad for the winter. 90+yrs old Mike who I mentioned in my last post is the only person on this site planning to do so. Mark and Debbie who I also mentioned have now returned from Italy and will be overwintering here as they do each year. Most of the empty pitches on our site are because few people want to caravan or motorhome during the winter months. We often have snow up here on Dartmoor due to how high we are situated compared to the surrounding area. Dartmoor like a lot of moors has it's own micro weather climate. For someone like me who has always enjoyed wild places it is the perfect place to be. Thanks for your comments mate.....

Sorry to hear that Trevor, we did wonder. Try and keep positive I'm sure you are.

Six weeks off.

 The visit to see the Consultant went quite well really ...   My ' numbers' have started to creep up again so I am going to be given...
